On Tuesday 17th December 2019 we held a birthday party to celebrate Anna Myers’s centennial birthday! Dozens of fellow tenants from the Queenshill Sheltered village came to the Stonegate Way lounge to celebrate with Anna. The event was accompanied by food, drinks and live singers who entertained the crowd for the afternoon.

Craig Simons, Operations Director, spoke to Anna during her party, he says:

“I asked her what the biggest change was in her life.  Her first answer was the touch screen phone, she then paused and said, “no, the biggest thing change I saw was electricity, I remember the gas lights and then we had electric lights!” This was before she went on to say she was around 10 years old when she remembered this change.”

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the celebrations, many tenants have commented on how wonderful the afternoon was. LJHA would also like to wish Anna a very happy birthday on her incredible, special day.
